Sunday, September 26th

On September 26th our parish will celebrate Priesthood Sunday, a special day set aside to honor priesthood in the United States. The number of priests and ordinations in the United States has steadily declined over the last 50 years, while the number of parishes without a resident priest pastor has increased. The men who answer the call to the priesthood are indeed special and are working harder than ever before. Without them, there would be no Mass and the Eucharist.

How can you celebrate Priesthood Sunday at St. Helen?

Send a Spiritual Bouquet: Let us join together and show our gratitude with a spiritual bouquet for our parish priests. Spiritual bouquet cards are available at the front entrances and the rear vestibule of the Church. Please place your completed card in the baskets provided at the front of the Church or give to the the parish office.

Priesthood Sunday prayer cards will be handed out at each Mass. Join us in a special prayer at the conclusion of Mass as we pray for our priests.

Stop by the Parish Hall after the 7:15, 8:45 and 10:30 a.m. Masses and enjoy complimentary donuts and coffee sponsored by the St. Helen Vocation Ministry.
