Weekly & Monthly Meetings

ALATEEN  meeting held on Thursdays at 4p.m. 
PLACE:
Indian River County Charter High School, 6055 College Lane, Room 14 Alateen is a fellowship of young people whose lives have been affected by someone else’s drinking. For more information, please call Kathy at 569-1356, or Peggy at 299-3148.  

AMERICAN FAMILY ASSOCIATION  and Indian River County Right to Life at our prayer vigil on Fridays in front of Planned Parenthood at 31st Avenue and State Road 60. We meet from 4:00 p.m. until 5:15 p.m. Please join us. Thank you for caring!

JR AND SR HIGH YOUR GROUPS meets Sundays from 6:15 to 8:00 p.m. in the  South Room of Christen Leaning Center.  All youth in grades 7-12 are invited to come and enjoy free food, pool, darts, foosball, and good company.  Come and join us each week.   

  MEN’S DISCIPLESHIP GROUP 
Meeting every Monday morning from 6:30 – 7:25 a.m. in the North Room of the Parish Center
, the purpose of the Men’s Discipleship Group is to further develop the spiritual lives of the Catholic men of St. Helen Church. Through fellowship, accountability, prayer, scripture study, and most of all, love, we strive to develop as Christian Catholic men in our everyday lives. Please join us. MAN TO MAN
A local Prostate Cancer Support Group  meets the last Tuesday of each month at the Indian River Memorial Hospital Physician’s Cafeteria at 7:00 p.m. For further information, please call Tom at 299-1393. 

NARCOTICS ANONYMOUS meets weekly on Fridays at 7:30 p.m. in the Chapel of the Christian Living Center. If you are experiencing a problem with drugs, help is here! Newcomers are welcome! Park along the curb of southbound 20th Avenue on the east side of the St. Helen Church property. Enter through the double doors of the building marked Christian Living Center. 

ST. HELEN PRAYER MINISTRY
Prayer ministers are available in the Chapel of the Christian Living Center each Sunday after the 10:30 a.m. Mass. Our purpose is to bring to those in need spiritual, emotional and physical healing. Are you hurting from something in your past?  Looking for new direction in your life?  Are you abused, depressed or anxious?  A group of people just like you, who have personally experienced God’s healing and are trained in prayer ministry may be able to help. SEX ADDICTS ANONYMOUS meets every Sunday night from 6:45 – 7:45 in the North Room of the Parish Center. Please call M. J. Robbins at 863-467-3037 for more information. If no answer, leave your first name and a number. Your call will be returned. 

SUBSTANCE ABUSE MINISTRY Don’t be fooled by those who would say marijuana is harmless. Marijuana is a gateway drug to other more addictive drugs such as cocaine and heroin. Using marijuana causes many physical and psychological problems. If you or someone you know is using marijuana, please call SAM at 567-5193. We can help!

WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY
All women are welcome this week and each Wednesday at 9:00 –10:00 a.m. in the South Room of the Christian Living Center to share the Good News. We will be reading from Galatians first. Please call Diane Hankle at 562-2539 if interested or for more information

GRIEF SUPPORT
Are you hurting from the loss of a loved one? Sometimes we can find comfort in sharing our fears and feelings with others who are going through the same pains. Meet others who have also lost someone important to them. Learn that this is not a burden that you must carry alone. Please join us for the Grief Support Group that will meet on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 11:00 a.m. in the South Room of the Christian Living Center.  For more information, please call the Neighborhood Apostolate Office at 567-5193, or Marguerite Fowler at 567-5600. ROSARY MAKERS FOR PEACE
The Rosary Makers for Peace will hold their  meetings on 2nd Thursday of the month. Anyone wishing to join is welcome. We meet in the North Room from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Those who have decided not to make rosaries, please return all unused supplies as there is always a need for the beads and crosses.

SECULAR FRANCISCANS
We invite all who seek to be instruments of peace and faith in the world to come and see! We are a group of Catholics dedicated to living the Gospel of Jesus Christ by following the Rule written for the laity by St. Francis of Assisi. Join us for prayer, study, sharing and fellowship.
