Indian River Community College (Ft. Pierce), about 18 miles south of Vero Beach, also has a branch in Vero Beach, at the Mueller Center. Indian River Community College's Mueller Campus is the educational hub for residents of Indian River County - most of the County's college-bound high school seniors attend The River. Thousands of area residents benefit from IRCC programs for university transfer, career training, professional and personal development, as well as customized business training and free Adult Education/GED Preparation.

The College will introduce Bachelor's Degree Programs, beginning January 2008, when its name will change to Indian River College.
