enhance our library with new books and tests for the
Accelerated Reader program. Remember that the holidays are

gift of a book or a gift certificate. They are perfect for
your children, grandchildren, teachers, and friends. Please

THE CHARISMATIC
PRAYER GROUP
Mass
will be celebrated on Thursday, October 16th, at 7:30
p.m. in the Church. The Music Ministry will precede the
Mass with hymns of praise. Refreshments will follow in the
Parish Center. All are invited to attend.
In
order to commemorate the 200th anniversary of his
birth, Christians all over the world will celebrate “the
Year of St. Paul”. St Paul was together with Saint Peter and
James the Just, the most notable of early Christian
missionaries. Unlike the Twelve Apostles, there is no
indication Paul ever met Jesus before the latter’s
crucifixion. Fourteen epistles in the New Testament are
traditionally attributed to Paul. Paul’s influence on
Christian thinking has been more significant than any other
New Testament author. To give you an idea of the great
distance this Saint traveled by foot and boat in the time
right after Christ’s Resurrection, here is a list of his
journeys.
First Missionary Journey:
Antioch in Syria to Seleucia, Cyprus, and modern-day Turkey,
and then returning to Antioch
Second Missionary Journey:
Antioch in Syria again, Turkey, Greece and back to Turkey,
Caesarea and Jerusalem, before returning to Antioch.
Third Missionary Journey:
Antioch, Turkey, Greece, back to Turkey, then to Tyre,
Ptolemais, Caesarea, and Jerusalem.

REGISTERED
IN PARISH?
Many
believe because they were born and baptized in this parish, they are
automatically registered. If you are an adult and no longer living
at home, you are NOT registered in the parish unless you have
completed a parish registration form. If you want your child to
attend our school, CCD classes, sacramental prep programs, or need a
sponsor/godparent certificate, parish registration will be required.
Registration is also your affirmation that you are willing to
receive the spiritual goods the church offers and willing to respond
generously with your time, talent, and treasure, to the needs of the
parish community.
