Holy Spirit

CHARISMATIC PRAYER GROUP

“Now, at some time in our life, we come to realize that our faith is more than just spending an hour a week at Mass on Sunday. Jesus never stops calling us to repentance and conversion….This conversion that Jesus calls us to is our acceptance of Him as Lord and Savior, which up to this point in our lives has not been regarded as important…We are baptized in the Holy Spirit when we become spiritually mature and finally realize how important Jesus is for us and in our lives.” (Deacon Joe DiMauro, The Holy Spirit, Lord and Giver of Life, Pamphlet, ca. 1990)

A Healing Mass will be celebrated this Thursday, March 18th, beginning with Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament at 7:00 p.m. in the Church with Mass at 7:30 p.m. Come and be refreshed in the Lord!

This is a time to change our ways, to turn back to God our Father, and to appreciate and share the gifts we have received. As we begin the second half of our journey through Lent, remember that we are called to be stewards of what God has given us, and we connect our prayers and fasting with our giving. Plan a simple meal, take the money you save and place it in the parish Rice Bowl.

CHRISTIANS OF
THE HOLY LAND

I hope all of you remember meeting me 2 years ago when I spoke about Christianity in the Holy Land and made available some of the olive wood religious items these Christians are so famous for making. Our representative, Vincent Miceli, will be with you on the weekend of March 20 and 21, 2010.
About Us: This apostolate was born out of love and concern for the well being of the Christian character of the Holy Land. Our activities include providing speakers (excellent spoken English) at the Sunday Mass to raise awareness, maintain a website with current and valuable information about the Holy Land, support the only active Catholic TV station in the Holy Land, provide updates to Parishes about the Holy Land by way of bulletin announcements, provide steady employment in the Holy Land through marketing religious goods made by the local Christians and also by promoting Pilgrimages to the Holy Land that are not only Christian Spiritually, but also economically using Christian services. Email is the best contact method. May your Lenten journey open your eyes, mind and heart to the plight of the Holy Land, the only place where our Savior physically chose to touch, breath in and live. Peace.
