FAITHFUL CITIZENSHIP

With the national presidential race in full swing and the Florida regular legislative session which got underway in March, all Catholic faithful are encouraged to seek assistance in forming their consciences in accordance to God’s truth prior to entering the voting booth for the 2008 elections and beyond. The Catholic Bishops of the United States prepared the guide Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship: A Call to Political Responsibility from the Bishops of the United States which is available at http://www.usccbpublishing.org/. This statement urges Catholics to be involved in public life and to use the values of their faith to shape their political choice.
