Arrival begins at 10:10 a.m.  Parents will sign in their child. notify nursery staff of any allergies or special concerns.  Parents may provide a cellular phone number if available.  We will begin with free play and story time.  We will then lead the children in a simple lesson which may include coloring, song, or a Christian video.  We will then have crackers or cookies for snack.  Snack donations would be greatly appreciated.  Parents will return after the 10:30 a.m. mass to pick up and sign out their child.

Important Information

* Please bring a diaper bag with a change of clothing and clean diapers if your child is not toilet trained.

* Please label all diaper bags and any items brought from home with your child's name.

* Please obtain and fill out our release form and Child Information card upon your first visit.

* Please do not  bring any child to the nursery who has had:
          * a fever
          * rash
          * diarrhea
          * green or yellow nasal      discharge
          * cough or vomiting
during the previous 24 hours

*The child will be released to the same parent who dropped off and signed the child in.

*Snack donations will be greatly appreciated.

Nursery Staff

St Helen parishioners Valerie and Melissa have worked in the 10:30 a.m. nursery for many years. Paige,  Laura, Denise and Suzanne are members of the St. Helen MOMS group who  volunteer one Sunday a month.  Staff are screened with background checks and fingerprinted according to the Diocese of Palm Beach procedures.  Two adults and one teenager is the ideal staffing with the child to staff ratio of  1 adult to 4 children   less than 2 years old and 1 adult for 6 children ages  2- 4 years.

Location

St Helen kindergarten classroom inside the old church.  The  closet parking is in the west church lot off 20th Ave going South.

This room is equipped with two bathrooms.  Child size tables and chairs and a large rag for floor activities.  Toys will be those provided by the nursery or those brought in by the child from home.
