St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store, 1745 14th Avenue in Vero Beach, wants to THANK all those who have generously donated good, clean, used items and all those who shop. The summer months increase food and utility expenses for many in our community. Your donations allow us to help those in need in our community. PLEASE join us as a volunteer. We can use men and women to receive items, sort dishes, books and household items, hang clothes and cashier. If you can spare 3 hours, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on a Monday, Wednesday, Friday or Saturday, we REALLY need your help. Call 567-6774 or stop in and pick up an application. If you haven’t been in the store in a few years you will be pleasantly surprised! Stop by and check it out!
THANK YOU FROM ST. VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY
St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store at 1745 14th Avenue in Vero Beach would like to thank the many seasonal volunteers that returned to help again this winter. Many of you were new volunteers this season and we are grateful for your help. Thank you all for volunteering. We wish you a safe trip back to your other home and look forward to working with you next year. God bless all of you for sharing your time, talent and treasure.
St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Shop’s mission is to provide assistance to those in need in the Vero Beach area. All of the profit the shop makes goes directly to meeting those needs. We’re able to do this because our staff consists of men and women who graciously volunteer their time and talents. Over time, volunteers come and go, which is natural. But recently more have gone than come, leaving a serious gap in the minimum number of staff per day needed to operate the shop. During the summer, the shop is closed two days a week. Bottom line, we need the funds generated by being open daily in order to help those in need, and we’re in dire need of more volunteers in order to do that. So, if you have a few hours a week that you can spare, please consider joining our men and women volunteers. For more information, please call 567-6774 and ask for the manager on duty or stop by the store, located at 1745 14th Avenue. Thank you, and God bless everyone who has helped us help others.

Society of St. Vincent de Paul
Purpose: The Society of the St. Vincent de Paul helps people in our community by operating a thrift store. The funds raised by the all-volunteer staff helps the poor and needy people in our neighborhoods. The office workers aid applicants with food, clothing, prescriptions, and utility bills.
Events/Activities: We visit St. Francis Manor residents and give aid. Local homeless and programs that support women’s safety and babies are given merchandise. Food vouchers are supplied to the Outreach office of St. Helen Church. We also work with men's groups.
Talents Needed: Volunteers help us help others by receiving donations, sorting, pricing, doing repairs, cashiering, maintenance, and picking up donated items.
Time Commitment: A three hour shift per week, or more if your time permits.
When: Monday Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Closed Tuesdays and Thursdays during the summer but may be added during the season).
